With overwhelming positive response after the launch of EpiMist for Asthma OTC in 2018, Dr. Natural Healing has been able to scale production resulting in a significant impact in the cost per unit. EpiMist for Asthma OTC was available at the starting price point at $74.99 for 250 doses per unit, while Prime Asthma Relief was $34.99 per unit. The savings in the costs to produce each unit has resulted in a lowered price of $34.99 for 250 doses ($0.14/Dose) per unit for EpiMist and $19.99 for their Prime Asthma Relief dry power inhaler, respectively.  

The difference between EpiMist for Asthma OTC and Prime Asthma Relief Dry Powder Inhaler against other over-the-counter inhalable asthma relief products on the market is its ability to deliver its active ingredient, Epinephrine, without the use of CFCs or other chemical propellants.

Side effects of Different Chemicals

Asthma inhalers, also called ”pressurized Metered Dose Inhalers” (pMDI), contain active ingredients such as salbutamol or beclometasone. Although useful in managing asthma symptoms by relaxing the airways, studies show that frequent, long-term use of salbutamol can prevent the lungs from stopping the release of biological signals that hamper breathing.

Another common ingredient, Albuterol, has been found to cause paradoxical bronchospasms, making breathing and wheezing worse. While these chemicals still relieve symptoms, long-term frequent exposure may lead to harmful effects.
