Preventive Medicine is Superior to Disease Treatment

According to Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classics (Huangdi Neijing), the text book of Chinese Medicine, written more than 2000 years ago: “The highly skilled doctor is able to treat the disease before its occurrence.”

How?

The doctor practicing the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can observe the patient’s whole body’s signals and signs by watching the patient’s overall health status, listening to the patient’s voice, asking about the patient’s discomfort, and detecting the patient’s pulse, then the TCM doctor is able to determine what is happening inside of the body.

The TCM doctor will advise the patient to take the necessary approaches to avoid the illness.

For example, lack of energy, an early sign of anemia, can be observed through watching the patient’s face and skin and feeling the unique pattern of the pulse. Then, anemia can be prevented after the patient eats these foods rich in iron, such as red meat, animal liver and dark green vegetables.

Treatment with natural herbs and diets costs much less than using medicine. The patient will not suffer through the illness.

The founder of Dr. Natural Healing, Jim Liu, MD, PhD, advocates that preventive medicine should be promoted and practiced as often as possible.
